FCH SGA 2009: Stakeholders gather in Brussels

High names of the FCH industry and 300 stakeholders got together on 26-27 October to discuss the present and future of their industry. Throughout the two days, participants had the opportunity to network and exchanged experiences from within Europe and as far as Japan and the United States.

 

In opening the FCH SGA, Gijs Vriesman, the Chairman of the Governing Board said “….”, which set the tone for the following presentations.

 

The 2009 SGA was divided into one day reserve for the JTI itself, progress and challenges and the second day was dedicated to the politics around a full-blown commercialisation of FCH applications.

 

Among other speakers, SGA participants hear Fabrizio Barbaso, Deputy Director General for Energy at DG Energy and Transport, Stephan Singer, Director of Global Energy Policy at WWF, Hirohisa Aki, Deputy Director of the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Promotion Office of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Sunita Satyapal, Director of the Hydrogen Program at the US Department of Energy and Takashi Moriya, Operating Officer and General Manager at the Technology Research Division of Honda.
