for a Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (NEW-IG)
The European Industry Grouping for a Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, called New Energy World Industry Grouping “Fuel Cell and Hydrogen for Sustainability” (NEW-IG) is a voluntary non-profit association established under the Belgian Law and open to all industrial companies with fuel cell and hydrogen R&D activities in Europe,including the European Economic Area, associate and candidate countries.
NEW-IG is the key interlocutor to the European Commission for the proposed Joint Undertaking (JU) for fuel cell and hydrogen, the new way of realising strong-long public-private partnerships for Europe.

18 January 2012 The Financial Times: Hydrogen cell cars move to fast lane The UK government and 13 car and other companies – including Toyota, General Motors, Daimler and Hyundai – have unveiled UK H2 Mobility, a consortium that will study the potential for hydrogen as a fuel for ultra low-carbon vehicles in the UK. By the end of this year, the group will develop an action plan to make the cars available to British consumers by the middle of the decade.
